Miami’s Coastal Neighborhoods and Districts

Downtown Miami: includes the financial district of Brickell, Miami River Corridor, Downtown Corridor and South Biscayne Corridor. A favorite with foreign nationals to invest, own a second or vacation home and enjoy the area’s exciting urban lifestyle. Downtown District is considered one of Miami’s newest entertainment districts. The area is experiencing new growth and future development which will transform Miami into a true gateway city.  

Midtown Miami: is made up of four districts: the Biscayne Corridor, Wynwood, Midtown and the Design District. These areas are part of the entertainment district with many restaurants, lounges, galleries and retail shops, with new businesses opening weekly. This area  is a favorite with the locals.  

Miami Beach: has many diverse neighborhoods within its city borders including South Beach, North Beach, South Beach South of Fifth (SOFI), and Surfside. Other desirable communities are North Bay Road, Pinetree Drive, and West Avenue Corridor. All locations are only minutes to the beach.  There are many styles of residences available, from studio apartments all the way to ultra-luxury estate homes.

Miami Beach Island Homes: many residents in Miami are drawn to the unique island neighborhoods surrounded by the blue waters of Biscayne Bay. If you have a dream of owning a boat with a private dock in your backyard or you just like the idea of living in a quiet tropical enclave, but still close to Miami’s entertainment districts, then you might want to start your search in the following areas:  Fisher Island, Palm & Hibiscus Island, Star Island, Venetian Islands, Sunset Island, La Gorce Island, Allison Island, Indian Creek Village, and Key Biscayne.  

Coconut Grove and Coral Gables: both areas are south of Downtown Miami and border Biscayne Bay to the east. The Grove and the Gables waterfront and non-waterfront homes can be very private and secluded  due to the expansive canopy foliage within these neighborhoods. There are many private schools in the area for family residents.
