4 Midtown is one of the three buildings that were built in 2007 as a planned urban development on the old site of the East Coast railyard. The master plan included a mix-use of small retail, large anchors chains, offices, live/work spaces and residences. The project was finished exactly when the housing crisis started, and many of the units did not make it to closing.
